Join us August 27th & 28th at SVVR's offices in Redwood City to hack with talented peers and learn from technical mentors at IBM Watson, HTC Vive, Unity & Silicon Valley Virtual Reality for a chance to win an HTC Vive kit + other prizes. Teams selected to join this small, elite hackathon will enjoy a full weekend of hands on time with the latest VR tech, including HTC Vive demo units set up for easy Unity build testing,  and get a chance to present their projects to a panel of VR influencer judges.

Eligibility

Age:Participants must be 18 years of age.

Legal Eligibility: All participants must have legal ability to participate in the hackathon and are responsible for considering any pre-existing confidentiality agreements or participation agreements that may preclude them from participating.  Organizers take no responsiblity for any breach of any agreements in place between participants and third parties.

Code of Conduct: All participants agree to be bound by the Code of Conduct referenced in the Rules.  In addition, the organizers reserve the right to remove from the event any participant who, in the sole discretion of the organizers, violates the spirit of the Code of Conduct.



Requirements

This hackathon is about exploring VR use cases for the IBM Watson Image Recognition API and associated Unity Asset.  Any VR application whether it is a game, utility, concept demo or other application is elligible for judging.

The specific requirements are:
- A working VR application using the HTC Vive, Unity, The IBM Watson Unity Asset.
- A brief presentation on the purpose of your app and how to use it.
- A live demo for judges to experience your app and ask questions.

Additional Submission requirements:

-All code and scripting must be done during the time of the hackathon.
-Existing Unity Assets from the asset store must be described and listed prior to judging.
-Outside art assets such as pictures, picture libraries, 3d models or sound/music files are allowed but must be listed as such prior to judging.
